Hormonal changes in women during the transition of perimenopause and menopause can often impact well-being and quality of life. This unique Midlife Wellness Retreat was designed to bring our community together, to connect in a learning environment, where participants will have the opportunity to relax, renew, and realize how self care can impact their well-being during midlife.

Are you ready to reclaim your calm and thrive through hormonal changes? Join us for The Power of Pause, a restorative workshop designed to help you slow down and find balance. This workshop will include quick and time efficient strategies that can help you feel better in just  minutes a day. Along with somatic stress reduction, soothing restorative yoga, and practical tools for daily wellness. Perfect for women in midlife, this 3.5-hour session will empower you to navigate hormonal shifts with ease and grace. Don’t just survive—thrive.

Retreat Includes...
 

  • Welcome and introduction.

  • Somatic exercises for stress reduction. 

  • Practice grounding techniques, breathwork, and gentle movement to release stress.

  • Restorative Yoga session to the soothing sounds of the crystal bowls. 

  • Stress, the nervous system, and hormonal changes. 

  • Open discussion for sharing experiences (optional).

  • Energy audit exercise.

  • Daily ritual creation and journaling 

  • Closing Circle and take-home strategies.

Shauna Laubman is a seeker, ever curious and open to the unfolding of life. She finds herself most alive in the rhythm and grace of movement, a dance that calls to her soul and ignites her spirit. For the past decade, she has been a part of the Okotoks yoga community, sharing her passion for yoga and guiding others to connect more deeply with themselves. Shauna is a dancer, a lifelong lover of movement, and a fitness enthusiast, embracing each practice as a sacred way to shine her light. As she steps into the tender embrace of midlife and the new joy of becoming a Nana, Shauna feels a deeper calling. Perimenopause has been a challenging passage, bringing with it waves of change and moments of struggle. In this time, she has discovered the art of slowing down as a medicine for her soul—a way to ease the weight and soothe the body, to find refuge in stillness and grace. She notices the silence that often surrounds the profound hormonal shifts that come with this stage of life. It is from this quiet space that Midlife Wellness was born—a place where women are invited to age with grace, to stand in their power, and to reclaim their voice.

Lisa Moroz is the founder and owner of the Foothills Wellness Retreat. She began her wellness journey in 2018 which led to realizing a need for healing through self-awareness. On this path, she has experienced firsthand what Yoga, Meditation and Wellness Retreats have to offer towards self-awareness and healing. Yoga Nidra was foundational for allowing stillness to be present, which was the medicine for awareness, curiosity, healing and change, to ultimately live a happier and healthier life. Through passion and personal growth, Lisa obtained her certifications as a Yoga and Yoga Nidra Teacher, along as a Reiki practitioner. Currently, Lisa and Todd Moroz offer Yoga/Nidra with Sound Bath classes as a way to give back to others what truly helped create her own healing journey.

Refund and Modification Guidelines:

We appreciate your understanding that Foothills Wellness Retreat passes are non-refundable. Recognizing that unforeseen circumstances may arise, our refund and modification guidelines are crafted with fairness in mind for both our participants and our business. Passes are transferable to another individual, subject to approval and adjustments by the Foothills Wellness Retreat administration. Should the Foothills Wellness Retreat need to cancel the event, we will extend the choice to participants of either receiving a refund or being credited for an upcoming event. Your flexibility and cooperation in such situations are sincerely appreciated.
